MN: AC Milan plan to complete 3 operations before the end of January
AC Milan are working to complete three operations before the end of the winter mercato with a new defender being the priority.
The defense will be the only department AC Milan intend to improve during the January transfer window. At one point, the Rossoneri considered relying on Gabbia and Kalulu to replace Kjaer but the recent injury of Fikayo Tomori has forced the management to return to the original plan.
Several names have been linked with a move to AC Milan. From Sven Botman up to Diallo, Bremer, Eric Bailly, Nicolo Casale, Andreas Christensen and Perr Schuurs. However, a surprise name that has not been mention yet by the media could be the chosen one as foreshadowed by Paolo Maldini in a recent interview.
But a new centre back is not the only important topic on Maldini and Massara’s agenda. At the same time, AC Milan are working to offload unnecessary players to Pioli’s project after having already let Andrea Conti to join Sampdoria reports MilanNews.it.
Samuel Castillejo is expected to leave before the end of the mercato. AC Milan tried to sell the Spanish right winger during the summer but without success. Castillejo is a wanted man in Spain and France while Marco Giampaolo wants to reteam with his former player at Sampdoria.
The other player destined to leave is Pietro Pellegri. The 20-year-old Italian striker has found very little space this season. A player of his age needs to play more and AC Milan are working to loan him at another club with Genoa and Torino being the two most likely destinations.
